Thought for the day

While loading pics from this week i saw this picture of my daughter and two of her friends and the first thought that came to my mind was: Beautiful are the feet that carry the word of the Lord. My desire is that our kids share the good news of Christ wherever they go.

Church Hunt

Go for a family drive and look for churches, Play a game to see who can be the first to spy a church as you walk or drive past. Point out the differences in the buildings. Greet people you see around the churches. End the time by driving past your church. Lead your family in a prayer for the Churches that teach about Jesus. Say: Jesus wants us to go to church to learn about Him. He wants us to learn to help, love, and serve each other

Mission Monday

Preschoolers love looking at themselves in the mirror. Stand or sit in front of a large mirror. Point to family members in the mirror naming each. Say a sentence prayer thanking God for making each person special. Encourage your preschooler to repeat your prayer, or say their own. Smile and make silly faces in the mirror. Enjoy this time of prayer.

Car pool Prayers

I would like to encourage each of you to make your morning drive with your kids a prayer time. I started this in August with the girls and it is something they look forward to each day. I let them each tell me what they want to pray for. It is a sweet start to our day.

Thankful Thursday

Tonight at supper have each member of your family go around the table and name one thing they are thankful for. After everyone has had a turn pray and thank God for all His many blessing on your lives.
I would like to share today that I am thankful that our God is a God who still works miracles and hears our prayers.

Bubble Prayer

I heard about this idea and thought it was a neat way to encourage an active prayer life in your preschooler. Take a bottle of bubbles and as you blow bubbles with your child, mention things you want to pray for. Let each bubble represent a prayer request floating to God.

Parent Pick

I know many of you have children's bible for your kids. I have found one that is wonderful. It is the Day by Day bible by Karyn Henley. It is an easy to read bible. My 5 year old can read most of the words by herself. You read through the whole bible in a year. How awesome to get our preschoolers going through the whole bible in one year. I encourage you to check out this book. You can find it at Life way or Family Christian. However, i bought it at Publix.

Back to the world of Blogging

As many of you know that we had a preschool blog in the past, then we did away with it when we got a new church web site. I think it is easier fr me to keep up our blog this way. So, I am going to give it another try. Please check the blog for updates, important news, and fun family ideas. I hope you enjoy this.
